Our hearts at Forgotten Ministries have continually focused on those that live on the streets or live without proper necessities to stay alive.
Most people wouldn’t choose to be homeless, but it happens. Mercy House is an emergency overflow homeless shelter that is dedicated to providing food, shelter, and safety to those in need. When we opened the Mercy House we opened with the intention to offer everything one would need to get back on their feet again, but with dignity and respect. Our space is not like a typical homeless shelter, we have devoted our time and efforts to show our guests that they are worth so much more than just the basic necessities.
As a guest, they receive a delicious home-cooked meal, a bible study, opportunity to take a hot shower, and given clean laundered clothes to sleep in. As a way to show our love, we will also wash, dry and fold their clothes for them for the next day.
Mercy House couldn’t exist without the help of our devoted and steadfast volunteers. It takes on average 10 volunteers a night to make it possible for our guests to have a warm bed to sleep in and a safe place to stay. Please consider volunteering with this incredible ministry. We know you will leave blessed.
